Make sure you have enrolled in degree-applicable courses and that you are in enough credit hours to make progress in your degree and maintain any scholarships you have earned.
Here are important tips for staying on track:
Check that you are registered in at least 15 credit hours, or will have 30 c.h. after your freshmen year and 60 c.h. after your sophomore year.
Several scholarships require completion of 30 credit hours/academic year.
Palmetto Fellows: You must earn a total of 30 credit hours for each academic year (fall, spring, summer). Any credit hours earned before high school graduation, hours exempted by examination and advanced placement credit do not count toward the 30-hour requirement.
LIFE Scholarship: You must earn an average of 30 credit hours for each academic year (fall, spring, summer) equaling a minimum of 30 credit hours if a rising second-year student, 60 credit hours if a rising third-year student or 90 credit hours if a rising fourth-year student. Any credit hours earned before high school graduation, hours exempted by examination, and advanced placement credit approved by the institution as academic credit willbe used toward the credit hour requirement
HOPE Scholarship: Once you've exhausted your eligibility after your first year, you may be eligible for the LIFE Scholarship.
You must leave lower division with 63 credit hours.
Check that all courses are degree-applicable and not repeated courses.
